Heavenly Hugs

St. Peter's Prayer Shawl Ministry - A group that holds their monthly breakfast on the third Saturday each month. Members bring their projects and a dish to share. Guests just come. We will provide you with materials and even teach you a new skill if you wish. We have experienced knitters, crocheters and quilters on hand at each meeting. The group produces prayer shawls, lap robes and baby blankets to be given as hugs to those who are ill, suffering a loss, or celebrating a special occasion like a birth or marriage. Outreach

Outreach Commission - A group committed to sharing the gospel at local, state, national and international levels. The Outreach budget supports various projects at these levels. There is an Outreach Work group that meets on the second Wednesday of each month, except in July and August. In addition to developing the annual Outreach budget, the work group develops various
projects. Some of these are on a ongoing basis, for example Isaiah 58- a feeding program for the homeless and working poor in New Britain, Christmas for Others and supporting Sudan Sunrise. Some projects are on a one time basis, for example our "Green" project showing the movie "An Inconvenient Truth" with follow-up discussion, and sending clothing and schools supplies to children in Kosovo.
